چکیده
Melioidosis is a severe systemic infectious disease caused by Burkholderia pseudomallei, gram-negative bacillus with bipolar staining. It an environmental saprophyte endemic to Southeast Asia and Northern Australia. The can have varying manifestations. This retrospective study of the clinical microbiological profile culture-proven cases melioidosis who presented tertiary care hospital in Coastal Karnataka between January 2018 December 2020. epidemiological, demographic, laboratory characteristics were studied analyzed. A total 27 seen during period. All patients from western coastal areas India. Fever was most common presenting complaint. Analysis manifestations showed 11 (40.74%) bacteremia.
